We encountered our very first rain delay today. In typical Florida fashion, Mother Nature whipped up a late morning thunderstorm that held the second relay in suspense for some 45 minutes. Unfortunately we were without playing cards to while-away the holding pattern with a few hands of poker, so we sat and swapped war stories until Mother Nature's spawn moved off into the ocean.
In general, the weather was very pleasant today for an August day. The humidity was definitely much lower than usual and the wind was never an issue.
Phil Fiedler brought his brand new Holeshot Trident for its first outing and he promptly posted a class winning aggregate of 4450/25X to take honors in the Unlimited Class. Congratulations Phil on a very strong 1st place win.Very well done.
Over in the Factory class Pete McClain cruised to a strong first place finish shooting an aggregate 4750/4X along with yet another perfect score of 2,500. Great work Pete. Not only are you one heck of a good sport, you shoot pretty good too ! Congratulations!
