Eustis Gun Club Youth Programs

Eustis Gun Club has many youth, adult, specialty, and league groups at our outdoor shooting range, allowing something for everyone in the family.

Our Own Smokin' Pigeons

Smokin Pigeons Youth Group, seven youth holding shotguns

Not just a sport but a program to help youth become better Americans. Our coaches are trained to ensure participants maintain their ACADEMIC standing and ensure INTEGRITY through the sport and the daily actions of its youth members. MARKSMANSHIP comes with dedication, practice, and a desire to become better than we are today.

Members will enjoy the thrill of shooting registered competition on a level playing field as an individual or a team. Our purpose is to provide a safe and positive experience with firearms and registered trap shooting for youth from elementary school through college. We encourage good sportsmanship and personal responsibility through competition while establishing the foundation to make trapshooting a lifelong avocation.

Age categories for new members are based on your age the day you join the ATA. Age categories for renewing members are based on your age as of September 1st of each year. Shooters who become eligible for a new category because of a birthday during the target year may continue to compete in the previous category for the remainder of that target year. Age Groups Include Pre-Sub 11 & Under; Sub-Junior 12-14; Junior 15-17; and Junior Gold 18-22.

Scholarships:  Yearly scholarships will be awarded to eligible members. Scholarships will be given out in Academics, Integrity, and Marksmanship. Additional scholarships may also be available each year.

The Academics Integrity Marksmanship program is a great way to get your child involved in trap shooting's thrilling and unique lifetime sport. It also is an excellent way for them to learn firearm safety from a certified coach. We instill values and a sense of community responsibility and offer the experience of team competition on a level playing field.

Not only will your athlete enjoy the excitement of registered team competition, but they will also be eligible to be awarded scholarships! In addition, participants can participate in the Grand Championships at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex.

Trapshooting is one of the safest participation sports. It’s safer than soccer, football, and even baseball.

Youth may shoot with the Academics Integrity Marksmanship program and other youth trapshooting programs. We emphasize registered ATA competitions, and if you would like to participate in any other youth shooting programs, you may. Teams can be participants in several programs.
