Where the Eustis Gun Club Story Began

Before the ranges, facilities, and diverse shooting programs EGC members enjoy today, there were the trapshooters.

The history of Eustis Gun Club reaches back to 1935, when local trapshooters came together around a shared love of the shooting sports. From those early beginnings grew the organization that generations of members would build into the Eustis Gun Club we know today.

More than 90 years later, Shotgun Sports remain an important part of who we are.

What began with Trap has grown to include Trap, Skeet, 5-Stand, Sporting Clays, recreational practice, organized competition, and Youth Shotgun Sports—giving today's EGC members opportunities ranging from an enjoyable morning breaking clays to competitive shooting and youth development.

Shotgun Sports aren't simply one of the activities offered at EGC.

They are where our story began.

Tradition That Continues to Grow

Today's EGC Shotgun Sports Program combines that history with the convenience and opportunities of a modern shooting facility.

EGC members of varying experience levels are encouraged to participate. Whether you're an experienced competitor, interested in learning a new shotgun discipline, or simply want to spend an afternoon breaking clays with fellow members, there is a place for you on the EGC shotgun fields.

Scheduled shotgun activities are supported by EGC Match Directors and volunteers who assist with field setup, scoring, coordination, and match operations.

Their continued involvement helps EGC preserve a shooting tradition that began generations ago while introducing new members and young shooters to the sports that helped establish our Club.

Shoot on Your Schedule

At EGC, enjoying Shotgun Sports isn't limited to scheduled match days.

Our automated shotgun system allows members to enjoy clay target shooting throughout the week. Members can purchase or reload an EGC automation card at the RSO Office, obtain the appropriate remote or voice-release equipment, and head to the field.

Insert your card, get ready, call “PULL!” and start breaking clays.

EGC handles the work behind the scenes—from purchasing and loading targets to maintaining the machines and keeping the fields operational—so our members can concentrate on shooting.

It's convenient, accessible shotgun shooting and another valuable benefit of EGC membership.

Exceptional Member Value

Part of EGC's mission is making the shooting sports accessible and affordable for our members.

Clay targets are currently approximately $0.25 per target, providing EGC members with an exceptional opportunity to practice regularly, participate in different shotgun disciplines, and enjoy more time on the range.

Current EGC Member Clay Pricing

Trap or Skeet
$6.00 per round • 25 clay targets

Sporting Clays & 5-Stand
$15.00 per 60 clay targets • Two 30-target rounds

From 1935 to Today

The equipment has changed. The facilities have grown. New disciplines have been introduced, and generations of shooters have passed through Eustis Gun Club.

But more than 90 years after a group of trapshooters helped begin the EGC story, members are still stepping onto our shotgun fields, loading up, calling “PULL!”, and carrying that tradition forward.

From our earliest trapshooters to today's competitors, recreational shooters, volunteers, and youth athletes, Shotgun Sports connect EGC's history with its future.

What started with a group of shooters in 1935 has grown into the Eustis Gun Club community we are proud to call our own.

One Club. One Membership. Many Shooting Sports.
